The following should not be construed as financial or legal advice. Please contact your CPA or attorney regarding legacy gifts via a will or trust.

For many donors, naming a charity in a will or living trust is an efficient way to ensure that their philanthropic goals are met. This type of gift is called a bequest.

You can designate a certain dollar amount, a percentage of your estate, or even real estate through your will or trust. Making a gift in this manner is an easy and effective way to provide a legacy of home ownership.  You don’t even need to re-write your documents!  A simple codicil to a will or addendum to your trust may be all you need.
